Installing a new wrangler radio is not at all a difficult job if you follow the following instructions. For the installation of a new one the originally used one should be removed first. This is done in order to improve the quality and ensure it with the latest market trend. The following article will let you know how to install a jeep wrangler radio.
You should take the following things for the installation of a new wrangler radio in your jeep. They are panel tool, Phillips screw driver and a wrench of 10 mm. The first thing needed for this is you should remove any tapes, CD which is already running in the system which you are going to remove. The next thing is you should turn off power of the vehicle. Then the negative connection of the battery should be removed so that you can avoid any short circuits or shocks that you might incur during its installation.
Then take your next thing that is the panel tool. With the help of it remove the trim panel. For that first find its location. It is located at the dash’s top. It has got heating vents and AC. This trim panel is pried up because the panel’s top position is almost exposed. The receiver is totally surrounded by its top. Then the next step you should do is to remove the entire trim panel. This is done so that the Phillips screws are best exposed and those two screws are carefully removed after removing the panel. Next thing you have to do is to remove the other set of screws. This can be done only after prying up the trim panel. This is done with the help of panel tool. Those screws are located at the radio’s edge.
Then you should go on for removing the screws used for holding the panel for control of the climate. Those are located beneath the opening of your radio. Then the next step is lowering its glove box. This is done by opening that glove box. Then the strap which is retained is slowed down and the box is carefully lowered down.
Then you should remove a bolt of 10 mm. It is used to hold the radio in its position. This work is done with the help of the wrench. Thus now the radio can be safely removed from the dash by disconnecting all the wirings and other installations. The antenna plug should also be removed. Now you can use your new radio by carefully installing it in to the dash and connecting all the wirings and keeping the radio in position with the help of previous practice. This is done with the usage of wrench which is of 10 mm and all the necessary screws are connected which helps to keep the radio in proper position
